建?大??院

Opening of KYUH in 2000 to promote the health and happiness of patients

KYUH has received praise from the local medical community by implementing a differentiated strategy to introduce an automated clinical pathology testing system, computerized prescription and medical ordering program, etc. and establishing systems that bring convenience to patients.

Anyone who visits the hospital leaves with a good impression, based on the clean and pleasant interior and, above all, as the quality of the services provided by the medical professionals and staff, whose friendliness and professional competence are widely known. This has allowed KYUH to emerge as a general hospital representing the central region of Korea. We are focusing on improving customer satisfaction services so that patients can use the hospital comfortably. To this end, we are removing the existing high barriers to accessing university hospitals and providing friendly services.

Opening of the Cancer Center
Opening of the Cancer Center

KYUH opened a cancer center equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in November 2011.

The Cancer Center has been established in a 5-story building with a total floor area of 8,712 m2, which was built with a budget of about KRW 30 billion won. It takes an interdisciplinary approach to treating various types of cancer, with medical specialists from various backgrounds working closely together, so that local residents can receive quality care in the local community without having to travel all the way to Seoul.

As such, there are multiple specialized teams, each dedicated to treating a specific type of cancer, such as the breast thyroid cancer team, stomach cancer team, gynecological cancer team, lung cancer team, colorectal cancer team, liver cancer team, prostate cancer team, radiation oncology center, etc. Going forward, KYUH plans to implement a new model as a “medical complex,” where research, education, and treatment are carried out by the university and hospital.

To become a university and hospital that grow and develop together with local residents, we will strive to take our medical services to a new level with innovative ideas.
