A gamma camera is a device that measures radiation from radioactive isotopes administered into the human body with a detector and converts the signal into an electrical signal for imaging.
The gamma camera used at KYUH is the latest model of Siemens E-CAM, a state-of-the-art equipment system that enables the acquisition of dynamic and static images, quantitative analysis and SPECT testing.
It is equipped with an automatic sensor for patient protection, so tests can be performed safely.
