Mako SmartRobotics™ total knee replacement surgery uses CT scan data to create a 3D model identical to the patient's bone, allowing the surgeon to identify areas of arthritis in advance and plan the size and position of the artificial joint. During surgery, the surgeon evaluates the preliminary plan in real time through Mako SmartRobotics™, adjusting the cutting range appropriate for the patient's ligaments and joint balance, and reviewing the original plan.

Once the surgical plan is determined by the surgeon, Mako SmartRobotics™ guides the surgeon to cut the bone within the set range to match the shape of the artificial joint, enabling precise surgery.
