Anatomic Pathology
The Department of Pathology conducts tests on the tissue isolated by biopsy, surgery, dissection, aspiration, or autopsy based on the principles of pathology, a basic science that studies the cause of disease, pathogenesis, and functional and morphologic changes. Accurate diagnosis is provided to the clinical department as quickly as possible to help doctors swiftly decide on a treatment plan and determine the prognosis. The department also shares materials and knowledge necessary for medical research with all the eclinical departments.
