Laboratory Medicine
The Department of Laboratory Medicine performs various tests on various types of samples collected from patients to help diagnose and treat diseases. Based on state-of-the-art technology and principles of basic sciences such as biochemistry, hematology, immunoserology, molecular biology, and urine chemistry, patient samples such as body fluids, urine, sputum, and feces are scientifically analyzed and measured, and the results are provided to the clinical department for diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. The KYUH Department of Laboratory Medicine is an excellent laboratory that has been accredited by the Korean Association of External Quality Assessment Service, Korean Institute of Genetic Testing Evaluation, etc.
